Situated in Tatranska Polianka, (altitude 1000 m) the apartment is centrally located in the Tatras mountains, an ideal location for hiking, climbing and skiing or for day tripping to villages, health Spas, churches etc. The apartment is near to a Tram stop (150m) which regularly runs between all the villages in the mountains and also to Poprad (airport, main railway station, health spa, shopping). There is adequate parking without restrictions outside the apartment.A newly built spacious apartment (100 m2) with a beautiful outlook High Tatras mountains to the rear, rolling valleys with the Low Tatras in the distance. Completely renovated in 2009 to a high standard Chalet Maria provides comfortable, self catering accommodation for families or groups of up to 7. The accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms, kitchen/breakfast room, lounge/diner bathroom, cloakroom and covered veranda. There is parking on the paved drive for 2-3 cars and a large grassed garden to the rear. Chalet Maria is situated in Strba, between the High and Low Tatra (Tatry) mountains, within the village are several small supermarkets, bakers, restaurant, hardware store and 2 churches. The area is ideal for skiing, hill walking/mountaineering, fishing, cycling or just relaxing in one of the nearby thermal spas, Aquacity in nearby Poprad provides plenty of flumes and swimming pools (one of the first carbon neutral water parks in Europe). Being more or less on the border of both the Spis and Liptov regions there are also many other tourist attractions, restaurants, shopping centres and activities. The house is a single storey building, but there are a few steps down from the drive to the house (these have a wheelchair/pushchair ramp) and from the house down to the garden. The property is entered via a large driveway/footpath, the drive can accommodate up to three cars behind lockable gates. To the rear of the house is a large, mostly lawned garden, we have planted some flowers and bulbs (more to come) and have inherited a large number of very productive black and red current bushes-please help yourselves! Alongside the driveway is a large traditionally built wooden barn, this can be accessed by arrangement for additional storage for bicycles etc. A split level patio area adjoins the property, furniture and a charcoal burning BBQ are included to provide the perfect way to enjoy the Slovakian summer evenings. Embassy Apartments is a recently renovated residential building that contains one and two bedroom apartments. It is located on the east side of the pedestrians zone in Bratislava and is only moments from Obchodna Street and Hodzovo Namestie both are hubs for public transport. The large number of amenities in the surrounding area makes this an ideal location for those on business or leisure stays. From Embassy Apartments you can take Jedlikova passage to Postova which leads to the historic centre and Kamenne namestie. If you continue down Kolarska Street you will pass the University Teaching Hospital Milosrdni Bratia (Brothers of Mercy), the West Theatre and Tesco. Whilst taking Royko passage will lead you to Obchodná Street. This walk-way is also the site of many interesting small art shops. From Bratislava Coach station Mlynske Nivy: Take trolleybus no. 206 and get off at Hodzovo square stop. Go to the underground passage in front of you and take exit to Postova street (turn left once down). Walk down Postova Street for about 100 meters crossing the tram tracks. When you see a Pizza/Kebab shop turn left and go through the passage. Embassy Apartments is on your left. (10 minutes)
